Research Topic:

My project aims to further understand the molecular elements constituting long range plant signalling as it pertains to lateral root growth, specifically in the context of differential nitrogen levels in soil. I'm looking to characterize interactions between receptor-kinase, XIP1, and H+ ATPases, AHA3 and AHA9. Determining the nature of these interactions and the phenotypic consequences of altering the aforementioned proteins has the potential to enhance agricultural practices by optimizing growth patterns and reducing need for exogenous treatments.
