The vast majority of the students that enter the BMCB program at the University of Arizona complete their PhD in a timely manner and move onto postdoctoral training at a top university or a job in industry.

The vast majority of the students that enter the BMCB program at the University of Arizona complete their PhD in a timely manner and move onto postdoctoral training at a top university or a job in industry.

- 42% of our MCB Ph.D. graduates go on to a post doctoral position. Our students have completed post doc positions at prestigious universities including Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Yale and USC.

- 26% of our MCB Ph.D. graduates first position was in research in private industry or at a university.  Private industry employers include Ventana Medical Systems and Seattle Genetics. 

Upon completion of a Post-Doctoral position, our BMCB Ph.D. graduates have pursued careers in higher education, industry and started their own companies:

• 34% of our graduates are currently doing research at companies like Ventana Medical Systems, Cellstate Biosciences and Millipore Sigma.
• 20% are in higher education working as professors at universities.
• 14% are in private business including graduate who have founded their own companies and are the CEOs.
