A: A minimum 3.0 GPA is required for admission.

A: YES – it is very important that students have previous undergraduate research experience prior to applying to our program.

A: NO – official documents are not required from you unless you are being admitted to the program. You are required to upload unofficial transcripts and test score reports (if available) at the time of application.

A: The Graduate College requires an application fee for all submitted applications. 

A: YES – All students in our program are fully funded. This includes tuition, health insurance, and a stipend to cover living expenses.

A: The average length of time to obtain a Ph.D. in our program is five to six years.

A: It is not required that students seek a faculty sponsor prior to being admitted. During your first year, you will complete three laboratory rotations. You will select your faculty advisor upon the completion of your rotations.

A: Students in the BMCB program have two major options: Biochemistry OR Molecular & Cellular Biology.
